Where has the summer gone!?!

It has been so long since we have posted! We should mention a very fun 4th of July at G&G Livingstones and successful swimming lessons followed the first 2 weeks of July. We (well mostly Ben) have worked on "the wall" at Grandma and Grandpa Livingstone's all summer when he has been in town. We also had a really fun Pioneer Day.
Ben and Jace were at Maple Dell Scout Camp for that week though but I made the girls some little pioneer outfits for the Primary Parade they were in that morning...Of course the camera was at scout camp so they'll have to dress up again sometime and will add the pic. We have enjoyed going to see movies every Wednesday. It was nice to be inside during the hot HOT days we have had. August brought another scout camp with the wooden "plyaks" the YM have been making for several months. Ben is the YM President still. Only one boy came back needing stitches and I think 4 of the 9 "plyaks" survived the run down the river but fun was had by all. Ben and I went up the canyon to visit one night for dinner...the Bishops famous steak dinner...mmmm. Let's see we always celebrate a lot of birthdays in August too.
Ben turned 35! (Old man :) He got lots of fun things! The kids were most especially excited by the new Wii game and 2 additional controllers! He also got a new suit-2 weeks later. (Story in and of itself...but all is well now and it is lovely.) I was asked last year to be the Membership Chair for the kid's school PTA and was busy all summer soliciting businesses for donations. It all culminated into the Back to School night this past Monday and the first big membership drive went well...stress and all. (Thank you G&G for helping at a table!) The next day was the first day of school and also our 12th anniversary. The kids all got off and walked with their neighborhood friends. We dropped Emma off at Grandma's and then Ben and I had a wonderful time all day together at the SLC temple, lunch at The Garden restaurant, shopping at Taipan and Ikea, dinner at the Olive Garden, (thank you G&G Henwood), and out to see Bourne Ultimatum (sp?). It was a great day and very relaxing! The kids had a great first day too...of course we forgot to take pictures but we will take some again and fake it! I was thinking once school started things would settle in to not being so busy so I can get some more projects done, but not so! Last year I was elected to the Community Council and early Monday morning I will have my first meeting with the Principal and then more PTA...etc...etc...etc....someday my waiting gallons of paint will be opened!
