Happy Birthday to ME!

Today I had a great birthday. Ben got back in town late tonight and brought me a gorgeous bouquet of flowers and a very large Costco cheesecake. MMMMMmmmm. I thought it was so cute my sweet children brought me breakfast in bed this morning. They got up all on there own and at 7AM (!!!) brought me this darling display. Notice the beautiful paper-towel lined cookie sheet tray and cereal bowl handsomely framed in a pie tin. You may not appreciate the "real" glass glass like I did...we usually use disposable. Jace was so impressed with himself (and rightfully so) all day about it.

Mom L was so kind to watch all of the kids (including little Brooklyn I was tending for the week) for a few hours today so I could have some time by myself...thanks Mom! When I came back to get everyone Lauren had made me a birthday cake and decorated it all by herself. (I will post the picture Mom took when I get it from her.) For dinner I wasn't about to cook so we when to the ever popular local Wendy's to appease everyone. The best present ever is happy kids! It was a great day!

My attempt at blogging!!!!

Okay this is a test...only a test! I think I may have figured out how to blog all by myself! Everyone has always said how easy it is and I think I have finally discovered how to sign in now that we have switched over to the new format! Yikes! Here we go...I may even attempt to post a picture. If all goes well with this post-watch out-there will be many more to come!

By George I think she's got it! Wahoo!

Okay sorry about the last picture...only a test! Now you'll have to bear with me while I figure out how to change dates, picture positions etc. so you actually know when we have done everything over the past 6+ weeks that we haven't posted...here we go!

Okay, so school ended May 31st and Grandpa and Grandma Henwood arrived on June 2nd. Uncle Mike came to and we all went to the airport to pick them up and we headed downtown.

Jace was excited to have yet another early birthday day and opened his loot from Grandma and Grandpa Henwood! Thank you!

Early Father's Day and Boys' Tennis Lessons

Ben's early Father's Day from G&G Henwood. He got all kinds of Spiderman 'treats'.
Jace and Tanner's first day of tennis lessons was the Monday G&G Henwood were here so it was fun to go watch! They thought it was great...after some convincing to sign up in the first place!

More pics

(Okay sorry about the same date but I realized it would post all wacky if I did it in order of the actual dates.)

Yes, we went to IKEA. G&G Henwood will be getting one in Portland soon and we all wanted to check it out. We were there 4 hours and the kids were such troopers. They wanted to play in the kids supervised play area but every time we checked it was full. We had lunch and made a day of it...and then went back two days later (sans kids) to pick up a large mirror I wanted for the downstairs bathroom. It's lovely!

We had an indoor day of bowling because it was FREEZING. I should add a picture of all the snow in the mountains we received that day!

And of course the Bean museum and ice cream at the creamery!

Oremfest and Bridal Veil Park

Oremfest was going on while G&G H were here so we took them there and then the day they left we went up to Bridal Veil Park to walk the trail, picnic and let the kids play in the waterfall a bit. It was a great week!
