Trick or Treat

Halloween was another great time! The kids had their Halloween parade in the morning and Grandma and Emma and I got to see all of the cute costumes. Later in the afternoon Me and Dad and Emma got to do Lauren's classroom Halloween party. (I am the Room Mother for her teacher.) It was fun we did Halloween Bingo, made baby sucker ghosts and handprint spiders. We also played Musical Corners and had donuts and juice. We didn't have enough time to play the "Ghost Poop" game...we renamed the "Ghost Baby" game...but we had lots of fun! The kids got home early from school and could hardly wait to get out collecting treats. Especially when a bunch of kids started coming at 5:30! We wanted it to at least start getting dark so we lit all of our pumpkins we had so much fun carving at Grandma and Granpa's Monday night, we turned on some fun outdoor Halloween music and posed for pictures. Finally just before 6:30 they started out! The boys went with some friends and their mom to do our neighborhood first. Ben took Lauren, Emma and Halle and her dad Pete. I stayed to see all of our cute neighbor kids-mostly grandkids. We had about 60 kids we figured. When the girls and Ben got back I went out for a bit with the boys and their friends to some places outside the neighborhood. When we got back of course they started to sort and trade candy while Ben and I popped over to our neighbors across the street for a little get together with some other neighbors. All in all it was a great day! Thank you G&G Henwood for the fun Halloween package...we will take pictures of everyone in the fun shirts/outfits you sent.

Atlanta

Ben and I had a great time in Atlanta and seeing the sights and visiting Marcie and Brackon and their cutie pie girls. It was the first time to see little Berkley and she is sooooo cute!

All day the first day we visited the new World of Coke (sat on the American Idol couch) and the Georgia Aquarium and then walked through Olympic Park and toured CNN (no pictures allowed). The first couple days we stayed downtown really close to everything we wanted to see. (Thank you frequent flyer miles and Marriott points!) The next day we went to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens and to the Antique district called Antique Row. Then we went up to Marcie and Brackon's in Canton. We had a great time...minus a few hours on Friday...after a great dinner at Jim and Nick's-We are not sure what happened but long story short my dinner was the HUGEST baked potato I have ever seen in my life (see Curtis' blog) stuffed with everything yummy...no I did not eat the whole thing...and yes everything came up afterwards! Luckily it was short lived! Call me for the play by play...if your stomach can handle it! Blogger is having some problems...it probably got sick from my story...but I will upload some more pictures when I can.
