Tonight's Dinner Conversation With Emma

Emma: Was Grandma ever a Mom?

Patti: Yes, Grandma is still a Mom-she is my Mom!

Emma: Oh yah...
Emma (very matter-of-factly): "Okay, I am going to tell you how it works...(contemplating life in general). First, you are a baby in somebody's belly (sucking in belly and pointing to her stomach.)Yah, probably like your Mom's. Then you grow into a baby. Then you go to the hospital and come out (guiding hands outward). Then you grow in to a little kid like KC, and then a bigger, I mean, bigger little kid like me... Then you get bigger like Sydney...
Lauren: Hey what about me!
Emma: Yah and like Lauren...Well, I'm just going to do it my way!
Emma: (sucking in belly and pointing to her stomach.)Okay, first a baby, then and little kid, then a little bit bigger like me. Then you are a teenager...
Jace: Or there is a tween-that's what I call me.
Emma:(taking a deep breath) Okay, and then you be a grown-up and then you be a GRANDMA!!!

Lauren's Baptism

Lauren had yet another birthday celebration Friday! Grandma Henwood came out for Lauren's baptism and brought her presents at the same time! Lauren was baptized last Saturday. She was really excited! Aunt Marcie made it extra special by letting Lauren wear a cute dress that she had made for her girls! And Aunt Jeannie gave her some new special socks that she changed into too! Several wardrobe changes a day... typical Lauren! Grandma L made her a special bracelet and embroidered a beautiful white towel with her name, birthday and baptism date! Lauren and the other kids had fun at Build-a-Bear picking out just the right things to use up her birthday gift card from G&G H too! Lauren is filling out her special baptism book from G&G H and colored a special pillow case too! She was excited to have her very own set of scriptures too! Yet another celebration yesterday when High School Musical for the Wii came from Uncles Jon and Mike. Lauren has been loving the stenciling book from Aunt Shelly too! Once again everything was over the top! Thanks everyone! Love you!
