Who let the dogs out???

The dogs were a big hit at Grandma Henwood's house. You can see Tanner sitting with Pond-Pond (pronouced Pon-Pon). Pond-Pond is Shelly's new dog - it's a Cockapoo. The other dog, the strawberry-blonde poodle is Katie, who belongs to Grandma Henwood. The kids could not get enough of these to dogs and were sad to leave them when we left Portland.

The Wood's

Let me introduce you to Paul and Ruth Wood. Paul's brother, Lawrence William Wood, was my father's Dad that we had never known. After my Grandma Henwood had passed away earlier in the year, the Wood's saw the obituary in the Paper and contacted my dad. We were very excited to go to Vancouver Washington to meet them and learn more about our family that we had never met. We were able to see them twice and hope to see them again in the future.

OMSI Star Wars Exhibit

Attention all Star Wars fans!!! While in Portland, we went to OMSI - the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry - where they had a huge Star Wars display with actually props, vehicles, costumes and robots from the Star Wars movies. It was a Star Wars fan's fantasy come true. Everyone had a great time. Enjoy the photo's - may the force be with you.

Twas the night before Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was sleeping, not even a mouse. The Henwood children were not nestled in the beds, because the holiday season had gone to thier heads. So here they are in there Christmas pajamas, while thier parents wished they were in the Bahamas.

Christmas in Portland

We spent this Christmas in Portland with Ben's parents. As you can see from the look in Emma's eyes - we had a great time. The kids enjoyed spending their holiday with their Grandparents, and we had a wonderful time. Patti got to go antique shopping and Ben got to play some games and catch up on his movies. In the Henwood family we have a tradition of opening our family gifts on Christmas Eve, and then we get the fun stuff from Santa on Christmas Day. I will spare you the gruesome pictures of our family opening presents on Christmas Day, mostly because Patti said I would spend the next week slepping on the couch if I posted them. (She really didn't say that - wink wink)

Christmas Cookies

The Henwood's have a Christmas tradition - a tradition of making Christmas cookies. As far as we know, this tradition goes back as far as the dinosaurs, or at least as far back as Ben can remember. This year we got to make Christmas cookies in Portland. Here are some great pictures of the kids making (and eating) the cookies!!!
