FHE @ the theatre...

Last night we went to the Scera theatre for family home evening. We saw Amelia Bedelia (theather for young audiences). It was very cute. The kids really enjoyed the play. It was a really funny one for all ages of small kids-there were a lot of older people there too. I had just happened upon the info for tickets last Thursday and saw it was almost over and didn't want the chance to take the kids go by. (And for the entire family it was only $22!) A good time was had by all. Afterward "Amelia Bedelia" signed our program and "checked" the girls' arms (with a purple marker) and then when the crowd dispersed we were able to get a picture. We ended the evening with treat-milkshakes and sundaes from Arctic Circle. We hope to do it again soon!

Happy Easter!!!

I don't know why this keeps loading sideways...But I thought it was hilarious. My neighbor Leslie sent this card to me in the mail (she lives 5 doors down). On the inside it says "Have a happy, healthy Easter". She is so funny and gives me the cutest things so I just wanted to pass it along.

The kids are thrilled to get 3 Easter festivities this year. #1 was opening our Easter package from G&G Henwood...THANK YOU. #2 was our own egg hunt this morning. #3 They are anxiously awaiting the egg hunt at G&G Livingstone's. They are all hoping to find the silver egg!

Leprechauns strike again!

Yes, things turned very green at our house yesterday. Emma was very perplexed as to how the Leprechauns turned the milk for breakfast green and just how they got in the pan to turn our rice and chicken green!

When your 5 year old friend wants to be a hairdresser...

So a couple weeks ago I was brushing Emma's wet hair and noticed it didn't look quite right. I didn't think about it again until I saw her hair when it was dry and this is what it looked like. Of course we started in on "we DO NOT cut our own hair and if you do it again you will not get to use scissors by yourself". Well Emma began to say "I didn't do it" and then I turned to Lauren who wouldn't fess up either. Then Emma started to smile like she didn't care but still knew something that I didn't. So come to find out Emma's little friend Halle was practicing being a hairdresser!!! I had not seen any hair at our house so I wondered if they had done it at Halle's. Well it was really no big deal and I told Emma that it was not okay to let anyone except mom cut her hair for her. A week or so later I asked my friend Jeanne if she knew that Halle had cut Emma's hair. I thought it was funny. She of course was MORTIFIED-Halle had cut her own hair before but closer to the top. Both Halle and Emma are like sisters and do the craziest things both at our house and theirs so neither Jeanne or I were very surprised! I told Halle she could come over and I would let her help cut Emma's hair-UNDER SUPERVISION.

Quick trip to Phoenix via Las 'Begas'

(Okay, as soon as I added this picture I noticed it was filed as a 2006 but it looks close enough.) We just did a quick trip down to Phoenix to get a new 2007 Town & Country Stow & Go. It has never been registered before so it is considered 'new' but it had 20,000 miles on it so really it is used. We got it from my cousin Jim. He owns a parts place in Phoenix and they also do body too. This one came from a fleet and had side door damage. They repair them so that they are to dealer specs with no evidence of accident. It is great and you cannot beat the price-believe me once we started checking them out online we got a borage (sp?) of info from dealers trying to get us in! We love it and the kids think it is pretty cool too! (Now we can threaten to "Stow" our kids if they get out of hand in the van:) We left our old 98' Grand Voyager in Phoenix for Jim to try and sell for us. We got to see Jaime too and all of their cute kids. We hadn't seen Jordyn yet and she has the squishiest cheeks ever-so cute- we all went to lunch at In -N- Out and had a good visit. They are so great!

We got to stay with Reecy and Eric in Las "Begas"-as Blakey would say- on the way down and back from Phoenix. It was so fun to see them and their cute place!
