Black Friday Fieldtrip to the Fire House

So what do you do with your kids the day after Thanksgiving? Uncle Spencer had a great idea - take all of the kids to the Saratoga Fire Station. (I think with this trip to the fire station Uncle Spencer is in the lead for the Uncle of the Year Award.)
Everyone had a great time at the fire station. We took a tour of the station which was great, but that was not the best part. The best part was when the fire chief let the kids spray the water cannon on the Fire Truck. That was really cool - it's too bad the water ran out before the parents got to try it out.

After the tour the kids got fire hats, stickers and heat sensitive pencils. I think that some of the kids want to be firefighters when they grow up. (Actually some of the adults want to be firefighters when they grow up now.) The kids even got to name the fire station cat "Firecracker".

Christmas in November

You've heard of Christmas in July? Well welcome to Christmas in November. Because the Hunt's and Livingstones were in town for Thanksgiving, Grandma Livingstone decided to do Christmas before Thanksgiving this year.

Looking aorund the room you wouldn't have know it was really Thanksgiving. Presents were being unwrapped, paper and empty boxes were everywhere, and everyone was enjoying their wonderful gifts. Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Livingstone for all of the thoughtful gifts - we sure love you guys!!! Here's some pictures of the kids enjoying their presents.

Do we or Don't we - that is the question.

The question is - do the Henwoods have a cat or not? It seems that we may have picked up another member of the family - a stray cat that has been hanging around our house for a few weeks. You should never underestimate the prayers of your children. Anyway, it started out very innocent. The cat was hanging around our house, Patti and the kids started to feed her and wham - we have a cat that lives in our home most of the time. We believe that this beautiful cat belongs to someone and so we are going to try and find the owner. No one in the neighborhood knows who the cat belongs to. For now we have not even given "the cat" a name. The kids sure enjoy having the cat around, and although Ben is allergic to cats he has not had any reaction to this particular cat. We will keep everyone updated on this cat mystery as it unfolds.

Emma is FOUR!!!

It's amazing how time flies. Whoosh!!! All of the sudden our little baby girl is now 4 years old!!! Happy Birthday Emma. We are amazed that Emma has survived to turn 4 - we are also happy that we survived to see Emma turn 4. Emma is full of energy and life - I think she steals it from her parents when they are sleeping. We sure love our little Emma!!!

Happy Halloween!!!

Wow!!! Look at all that candy. Yummy, yummy candy. Lauren shows off why she is the Queen of Halloween by placing all of her loot on the floor. The kids had a great time trick or treating. The kids went out and covered the entire neighborhood in an hour - all while their poor Dad froze to death. Lucky for Dad, and Mom, the kids decided to share their loot. Mom spent the night at home as the resident witch (Patti bought herself a new sign that says "The Witch is in"). She had a great time seeing all of the neighborhood kids and handing out treats. Here are some great pictures of our other trick-o-treaters - Darth Tanner, Count Jaceula, and Busy Bee Emma.
